Why you don't need MORE time ⏰

Published 11 months agoΒ β€’Β 1 min read

Dear Reader,

Have you ever felt despair looking at your clogged up calendar and endless to-do list?

Have you fantasized about that vacation where you'll finally be able to do all the things you've been putting off?

I'm sure you regularly say to yourself "if only I had more time".

But let's face it. Time is not the problem.

I know this is not something you want to hear - me neither 😜

But I share this because I've lied to myself plenty.

We all get to CHOOSE what we do with the hours we get.

I found that taking responsibility for that choice helps me enjoy my time more than complaining how little there is of it.

Now if you're an independent worker or solopreneur, you might have more freedom with how you set your own schedule.

Paradoxically you might constantly feel squeezed by it!

The fact of the matter is…

What you need is NOT more time.

What you need is more CLARITY and ENERGY.

Let me explain...

If you don't know what is most important to you, you'll get constantly distracted by what feels urgent. You have no clarity.

Once you know what you value, you can prioritize and set boundaries to protect what matters most.

Instead of being pulled all over the place you can use this crystal clear focus to get in the zone and get sh*t done.

Living more in alignment in turn helps to preserve your energy.

I'm sure you've noticed your capacity for doing deep or creative work changes constantly.

A task can take an eternity when you're in a slump and be ridiculously easy when you're fired up.

So rather than trying to obsess over time management, I suggest we start talking about energy attunement.

I believe that caring for your energy is way more powerful than trying to optimize your time.

When you're in tune with how you are feeling and honour your own cycles, everything starts to fall into place.

This is what I mean by finding your flow.

Look, I’m like you.. I want to do it all, like yesterday.

I’m not saying it’s easy. πŸ’πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

But with awareness and a bit of guidance, it’s possible to shift your mode from always on & maxed out to present & fulfilled.

Now tell me, do you agree or disagree with these ideas??

Would you like to learn ways to bend time & get in flow state?

Hit reply so I know what to send you in the future!

Cheers x

Lou

Hi Reader, The other day I found myself watching a video about this new workout to look lean & sexy in under 15min a day. I scrolled down and was shown a powerful meditation technique that can 10x your productivity. Then spent the next hour googling / fantasizing about this perfect body and focused mind that could be mine if only... (ofc without actually trying a single of these exercises πŸ₯²) Let's face it, the wellness & self-dev industry is NOISY. It can leave us feeling overwhelmed and...

Hi Reader, did you miss me? :) I blanked out on sending last week's NL because I was SO EXCITED about hosting my 1st yoga retreat! And it went amaziiiing 🎡 Finding SPACE was the main theme of the retreat and it was a great opportunity to reset in a supportive and quiet environment. The real flex though is how to bring this renewed energy, calm and balance within everyday conditions that are far from "perfect". When the phone is pinging every 5min, more work is added to your already full...

Hi Reader, It's good to be back! I just returned from 3 weeks in Goa (India) to connect with the land of yoga and deepen my personal practice. Do you know it was the first time I ever went to a yoga retreat? Of course I was like a kid at a candy shop πŸ˜‡ I met the most wonderful teachers, made new friends, had an 'ashram'-like experience, immersed myself in the local culture... and filled my heart to the brim. Most of us look at the turn of the year as a time to look ahead. Instead I tried to...
